Ranger-47 Wrestling Club is hosting five preseason clinics at our facility for High School and Jr High School boys and girls!

Our clinics feature coach Andy Hrovat. Andy was a 2008 Olympian in freestyle wrestling. After retiring he coached the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club in Ann Arbor, MI where he trained some of the best athletes in the world. 

While in Ann Arbor, Andy created the BASE Wrestling training system based on his experience living and training in Russia. These clinics teach the BASE system and will prepare you for all the preseason national tournaments as well as the upcoming UIL Season.

INTRODUCING...

THE BASE WRESTLING SYSTEM

THE SMARTEST WAY TO LEARN WRESTLING.

Coach Andy Hrovat spent a year living and training in Vladikavkaz, Russia. While there he learned the Russian training system which he then used to create the template of Battle, Athletic, Skill and Exercise to train wrestlers of all skill levels. In the system you will learn how to efficiently and effectively control:

  • Yourself
  • The Mat
  • Your Attacks
  • The Situation
  • The Finish

The four upcoming clinics use the BASE method to teach freestyle and greco. Learn how to control and finish in the most important positions for international wrestling. This spring we will learn upper body, head inside single, head outside single, failed attacks and par tarre positions.
